Back to (non) reality

I decided to write a blog today and was rather surprised when I tried to set one up that I actually had one! The two week deadline which I have set myself has well and truly passed, as I sit here writing over a year after my first post. Tsk tsk. I would be delighted to say that the reason that I did not write was because I did truly metamorphasize and have been too busy looking beautiful for the past year, but in truth, setting up a blog 3 days before final exams probably wasn't the best idea in the world!

Lots of things have inevitably changed:

  • I am a teacher now. A fully-fledged teacher with a class of my own (a rather lovely, charismatic bunch of 7 year olds, who have the uncanny ability to drive me insane on an hourly basis).
  • From living on the same street as the boy when I first started this job, we are now in what is commonly termed a long distance relationship. Fortunately not as horrifically unromantic as it sounds, but a bit grim nonetheless.
  • The days of pining over not being able to find the dress I wanted in a size 6 are well and truly over. It seems as though cheesecake became a far bigger part of my life than it ever was.

Some things, however, remain very much the same:

  • I am still carrying on a somewhat torrid love affair with unattainable items of clothing; the piece du jour being a rather fabulous black lace number, currently sold out on an abundance of websites.
  • As mentioned already, cheesecake is very much still a passion.
  • I am still intoxicated with the idea of looking beautiful, as much as I still seem to show as little inclination of doing anything about it as I ever did.
So that's about it. Hopefully this will result in more posts than my previous attempt at becoming a 'blogger' (2; dreadful) and I may finally attempt the reincarnation process. Of course, I may bow to the inevitable and not quite get anywhere, but hopefully by then I will at least have posted something relatively entertaining/useful/diverting.
